“In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a solemn day of rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.” –Leviticus 23:24

Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teru’ah) is a both a memorial where we remember the blowing of God’s trumpet in the past and a rehearsal for future events which are yet to be fulfilled. The LORD commanded His people to celebrate His feasts according to His divine calendar. The Feast of Trumpets welcomes the seventh month of God’s year and begins the ten-day countdown to the Feast of Atonement (Yom Kippur). We celebrate this feast by blowing the shofar and listening to its call as commanded and fellowshipping with our congregation. Come join us and be a part of God’s holy celebrations!

The Feast of Atonement is considered to be the holiest day of God’s calendar. It marks the day on which the High Priest was able to go into the Holy of Holies in God’s temple and offer a blood sacrifice for the sins of the people. It is a rehearsal and a prophetic picture of the second coming of Yeshuah and the judgment of the world. It also reveals Yeshuah as out true High Priest after the order of Melquizedek. What is Feast of Tabernacles?

“Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. “ -Leviticus 23: 39-43

Tabernacles or “Sukkot” is the last of the feasts of the Lord. It is a memorial to the time the Lord brought the people out of Egypt and they lived in tents. It was also a prophetic message of how the Messiah would come tabernacle with us in order to purge away our sins and redeem us to Himself. Its is also a picture of Jesus’ return when He will tabernacle with us for the rest of time.
