WHAT IS PASSOVER?

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. Exodus 12:14,17

The Passover Seder is the celebration of the deliverance of the children of Israel and our redemption through the blood of the Messiah. It is a Spirit filled celebration for the whole family! This Feast is a perfect picture of Jesus/Yeshua and His sacrifice for us; from the sacrificial lamb, to the way that matzah is prepared.

WHY THE SECOND PASSOVER?

The Bible clearly states that God gives provision for us to celebrate the Feast on a second appointed time, 30 days later. In Numbers 9:9-11 the Scripture states: “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your posterity is unclean…, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover. On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.”

This divine direction was given to Moses, and then later we see its expanded application in 2 Chronicles 30:1-4,13 “And Hezekiah then sent to all Israel and Judah… that they should come to the House of the LORD at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the LORD God of Israel. For the king and his leaders and all the assembly in Jerusalem had agreed to keep the Passover in the second month. For they could not keep it at the regular time, because a sufficient number of priests had not consecrated themselves, nor had the people gathered in Jerusalem. A very great assembly gathered at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month.”

So, this year, we are exercising this provision which the Lord gave for such a time as this, and just as Hezekiah decreed, we’re going to celebrate the Passover on the second divine appointment, which falls on May 7th, 2020.

Time: 6:00 pm (Opening at 5:45 pm)

Location: Zoom Cloud Meetings App

Cost: FREE. One registration required per household.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE EVENT?

Pastor Joshua and team will be our virtual hosts and will lead us through the virtual Seder. He will give an all-new teaching this year which will provide us deeper revelation and prophetic insight into the connection between the Passover and current events.

While this is a virtual celebration, you will need to gather items and prepare for the Seder. The list of items is posted below and will also be included in your confirmation email from Eventbrite which you will receive after you register.

Please note that you will also need to prepare a nice meal beforehand. The Seder is a ritual family meal where the story of the first Passover is recounted. We will be lead in the recounting of the story; with our items gathered, tables set and meals prepared… and of course hearts ready!

It’s recommended that you please have a snack or small meal just prior to joining us on for the live event at 6:00 pm, because the meal isn’t eaten until more than halfway through the Seder. This is especially important if you have young children, so everyone can fully participate without distraction.
